Business at the CM Biotechnology Cluster operationally began at the start of September 2007, maintaining highly intensive activity especially until production of the 2008-2010 Strategic Plan.

. Producing a coordination and development model for measures appropriate for promoting biotechnology.
. Increasing Madrid business competitiveness in the biotechnology sector.
. Coordinating all initiatives to develop between different players involved.
. Providing a debate and discussion forum for simply transferring to society the benefits from research results.
. Promoting and collaborating in the promotion of all types of activities that could mean the strengthening, development and creation in Madrid of viable business activities linked to the biotechnology sector.
. Creating, participating or collaborating in other institutions with complementary or related activities to those in the cluster.
